About the Series
My newest book, “Paq, Wanderer of Ada Ev,” is the first book in a new series. The current working title for the series is “The Gifted of Ada Ev.” The premise for the series is developed in “Paq” and will be developed in subsequent books (book two is currently being written!). In brief, the world of Ada Ev is overseen by an immortal race known as the Beloran. While living among mortals, they do not sleep or rest. They are constantly busy with the stewardship of the land and its people, but they are especially focused on guiding and mentoring the “gifted” among mortals.
Book One Opens the World of Ada Ev
Paq (nickname for Paquin Imdarah) is one of the gifted. He is a Wanderer, and he is living during a time of Beloran absence. They are withdrawn from the mortal lands, waiting in a semi-conscious state for the time when they would be wakened to resume their mission among mortals. As that time draws near, Paq experiences his first “call” to travel, unaware that his calling comes from one of the Beloran designated to begin the process of waking all Beloran.
As Book One develops, readers learn about the five orders of Gifted mortals and their part in helping the Beloran wake from Dinumaksu, their state of semi-consciousness. As the series continues, the world of Ada Ev will be explored in much more detail, gifted mortals will be seen from various perspectives, and the dangers and conflicts in this world will be encountered by both gifted and non-gifted mortals. Relationships are a key focus among not only mortals but also the Beloran.
